RankDeck privacy

Research stays on your Mac
Your saved keyword checks, history and listing drafts are stored locally on your Mac. Keyword research sends requests to Apple's App Store services. Those requests include the search phrase, app and storefront needed for the check. RankDeck does not upload your research board or drafts to the licensing service. The app has no analytics.
Activation and licence service
Activation and validation send your licence key, an installation identifier and the activation details needed to identify the installation. The service stores purchase identifiers, licence status, installation identifiers and names, active installation slots, and activation times so it can issue licences, enforce the two-installation limit, support transfers and handle refunds.
Cloudflare hosts the service and its separate RankDeck D1 database. Stored email addresses, recoverable licence keys and payment-event and delivery payloads are encrypted by the service. Installation records and operational status are separate database fields. Cloudflare also processes network information such as your IP address when handling requests. The service hashes request identifiers for abuse-rate limits.
Payments, receipts and support
Stripe processes payment details. RankDeck does not receive your full card number or security code. The service uses Stripe purchase identifiers, payment and refund status, and your purchase email address to issue and recover your licence. Stripe's privacy policy explains its processing.
Purchase and recovery emails will contain information needed to access your licence. Resend delivers these messages using Notchbird’s verified sender domain. Support messages use the information you provide so we can respond. Launch-list signup is optional and is covered by the website privacy policy.
Why we use this data
Purchase, delivery and licence processing is needed to fulfil and support your purchase. Abuse prevention protects the service and its customers. We also keep records where required by law. We do not sell your research or purchase data.
Retention and your requests
Licence and purchase records are kept while needed to service the licence, resolve payment disputes and meet applicable record-keeping duties. Temporary checkout and recovery records have expiry times. Expiry prevents use of those records; it does not mean that every expired record is automatically deleted.
You can ask to access or correct your personal data, or request deletion or restriction where applicable, by emailing us. Some purchase records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or deal with a dispute. You can also raise a concern with Ireland's Data Protection Commission.
